Department of Computer Science (Graduate Institute Concluded)


Section One: Brief History of the Department

The undergraduate department of our institution was established in the academic year 93, with admissions starting in the academic year 94.

The master's program of our department was established in the academic year 92, with admissions starting in the academic year 93.

The part-time master's program of our department was established in the academic year 96, with admissions starting in the academic year 97.

 

Section Two: Educational Objectives and Features

The Department of Computer Science is primarily dedicated to nurturing high-tech information science talents. The educational and research focus encompasses three main areas: Networking and Communication, Computer Systems, and Intelligent Technologies. In preparation for the digital age, lifelong learning has become the mainstream trend, and the promotion of information-related education is a crucial component of lifelong learning.

Undergraduate Level - Educational Objectives:

  1. Cultivate students' fundamental knowledge of computer science and their ability in innovative design practices.
  2. Foster students' capability to identify, analyze, interpret, and solve problems.

Graduate Level - Educational Objectives:

  1. Cultivate individuals with advanced knowledge in forward-looking information technology, hardware and software system design, and interdisciplinary integration.
  2. Develop high-level professionals in information science and engineering with innovative thinking and independent research skills.

 

Section Three: Curriculum Philosophy

  1. The curriculum structure of our department encompasses three main areas: Networking and Communication, Computer Systems, and Intelligent Technologies.
  2. For admission to the master's program, candidates do not need to be graduates of information-related fields. Individuals who hold a recognized bachelor's degree from domestic or international universities by the Ministry of Education, or those meeting other criteria, are eligible to apply.
  3. For admission to the part-time master's program, candidates do not need to be graduates of information-related fields. Individuals who hold a recognized bachelor's degree from domestic or international universities by the Ministry of Education or equivalent qualifications, and are full-time employees, can apply. Male applicants (excluding those in compulsory military service) must have completed military service or be exempted, and possess relevant work experience. Female applicants must also have relevant work experience.
